Policies and Procedures

 

q   Tuition: Tuition is due by the 1st of every month.  Checks, cash, Mastercard, Discover, and Visa are accepted for payment.  After the 5th of the month an additional $15 will be charged to your account.  If tuition has not been paid by the 10th of the month the gymnast will not be allowed to attend classes. *Tuition is based on a calendar year taking into account that several months have 5 weeks as opposed to 4.  Therefore, no credit is given for holidays or other gym closings.

 

         There will be $25 fee for all returned checks.  Your account will need to be current in order for the child/children to return to the program.

 

q  Deposit:  One month’s tuition amount is required for deposit at time of registration.  DEPOSITS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE.  Deposit will be applied toward last month’s tuition upon a PGA official written 60-Day notice of leaving PGA.  Please fill out and return PGA 60 Notice of Leaving form available at front desk.

 

q    Registration:  An annual registration fee of $35 is due at the time of initial enrollment and is renewed each year.  This is a non-refundable fee.  There is a multiple sibling discount available.

 

q    Discounts: Discounts are given to families with multiple children in our recreation program.  The second child receives 10% off monthly tuition.  We also offer a discount for our city’s heroes.  We will allow $5 off monthly tuition for children of our local teachers, firemen, policemen and military families with proper ID.

 

q    Makeup Classes:  Please understand that a student’s place is reserved for the class that they are enrolled in and staff is paid for that time, therefore, missed classes may not be deducted from payments due.  NO MAKE UP CLASSES ARE GIVEN FOR SCHEDULED HOLIDAY CLOSINGS.  This also applies to competitive team.  There are no makeup days for competitive team athletes.

 

q    Weather:  Cancellations due to weather or circumstances beyond the control of Platinum Gymnastics Academy do not constitute a makeup class.  Platinum Gymnastics Academy reserves the right to cancel any classes at any time.  Our website and answering service will be updated to reflect these cancellations.  We will generally comply with closings for Pflugerville ISD.

 

q    Dress Code: Girls should wear leotards with their hair tied back and secure.  Boys should wear shorts and tee-shirts or a tunic.  No buttons or zippers.  No gum.  No shoes or socks.  Gymnastics apparel is available through the gymnastics pro shop.

 

q    Private Lessons: All private lessons are to be arranged with the front desk.  Platinum Gymnastics Academy sets the prices for the individual coaches.  Everyone participating in a private lesson is required to join Platinum Gymnastics Academy and pay the annual membership fees before beginning private lessons.  Lessons should be paid to Platinum Gymnastics Academy.

 

q    Scheduled Program Closure*(2009-2010):

       Annual Gym Maintenance (August 17-22), Labor Day (Monday, Sept.7) Thanksgiving (Wednesday, Nov. 25 @ 1pm – Saturday, Nov. 28), Christmas/New Years (Saturday, Dec. 19 @ 12pm – Saturday, Jan. 2) Good Friday/Easter (Friday, April 2 – Saturday, April 3) Memorial Day (Monday, May 31), and 4th of July (Friday, July 2 @ 1pm – Monday, July 5)
